My daughter has been sick the last few days so we headed to the doc to check things out. After talking about her temperature with both the doctor and nurse, I learned that ear thermometers are not very good at all. Go figure - that's why I was getting a different reading from ear to ear. They said the most accurate way to take a child's temp is with a thermometer that goes in the mouth or bum (yikes - that wouldn't go over well). So save your money and get an old school thermometer rather than buying these fancy digital ones that aren't so great.
