Promoting Good Behavior
Last week my friend Jennie hosted a fun dinner for our group of college friends (more on the fab dinner later). At one point when the conversation shifted to kids behavior, Jennie pulled out one of her favorite tools. She found these One Step Ahead Responsibility Charts that have worked wonders with her kids. She showed us how they can be tailored for kids of various ages. She has one for her six year old and one for her three and a half year old. Each child has different daily tasks and expectations and can choose their reward for week's end so they know what they are working toward. My toddler is a bit young for this but I love the concept for down the road. Jennie's only complaint is the look of it since it hangs in her kitchen so I think we need one of the many talented women of Etsy to re-create this in a much cuter design.
