Farmers Market Dinner

If I don't have a meal planner for the week, I hit the farmers market and grab a ton of food. When I get home, I make a list of everything I bought and then figure out what to pair with what for the upcoming week's meals. Tonight's menu included the following (items in green from the market):

Bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, Walla Walla onion.

Halibut broiled with olive oil, salt and pepper, then topped with a homemade pesto sauce made with basil from the market.

Great salad (recipe here) from my friend Ann using arugula, Sungold cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and hearts of palm, tossed with a shallot vinaigrette.

Broccoli sauteed with garlic and red chili flakes.

Peach & blueberry crisp.
